Natasha Flowers, a 21-year-old in the UK, organized a community charity concert on Saturday, March 24th, in support of Emerge Global. She raised ~£1,900 by charging £5 per ticket at the door, by selling Emerge jewelry during the night, and by holding a fundraising auction, with prizes including beauty vouchers, a five – meal at a local restaurant, and theatre tickets. The concert featured musical performances from her local community in Lower Gornal, including the Phoenix Brass Band, St Andrew’s Singers and the Atherton Quartet, as well as solo sections from Gordon Parker and Natasha herself on the oboe.
Natasha studies at Birmingham Conservatoire and is a former Ellowes Hall pupil. She has been playing the oboe since she was 10.
