The entire Emerge team would like to thank Room to Read for their donation of 200 books! The Sinhala, Tamil and English books have been divided between the homes in which we work and the girls were bursting with excitement when we distributed them.
Thank you Room to Read for sharing our mission of empowering young women through creativity, self-sufficiency, education and leadership. These books not only add to the libraries of the homes, they also provide the girls with opportunities to learn, share stories, think imaginatively, engage with each other and discover the power of prose.
