Hazel Rajiah-Tettah and Mumtaz Faleel at the Emerge Smile Event on 16 December 2019
Last year, our much loved Country Manager, Mumtaz Faleel, took the tough decision to move on. Mumtaz leaves a legacy in the hundreds of girls who benefited from her dedication and loving care and the thousands more benefitting from the policy reform she fought for. We wish her well and will always value her as a critical part of the Emerge family.

We are grateful to our incredible team and Interim Country Managers, Fazana Ibrahim and Ineke Pitts, who stepped in to fill Mumtaz’s very large shoes, and conducted a three-year strategic planning process for Emerge while we searched for our new Country Manager.
